A clear photo of your child, plus where the books should be delivered. A grown-up does this part.

We create their character
An AI image service draws your child as a storybook hero. You see the character, and the first pages of their first book, before you buy.

A book arrives every month
A new hardcover storybook lands in the mailbox each month for 12 months, with your child in every adventure.
The photo isn't kept. It's only used to draw your child's character, and the image service deletes it within an hour. Every book is drawn from the character, never from the photo.

Good to know
When do Hero Books launch?
We don't have a date yet. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when they're ready. Joining doesn't commit you to anything.
How does shipping work?
Each month's book is printed and mailed to the address you give us, and shipping is included in the price.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, and no more books are sent after that. The monthly plan also ends on its own after the 12th book, so nothing renews.
What ages are Hero Books for?
Hero Books are made for the same 5 to 11 range as the My Story app, so kids can read them on their own or share them with a grown-up.
What happens to my child's photo?
We use it only to draw your child's character. The photo goes to the AI image service that draws the character, which deletes it within an hour. Every book is drawn from the character, never from the photo. Read more in our privacy policy.
Can I see the book before I buy?
Yes. After you upload a photo, you'll see your child's character and the first pages of their first book before you pay.
Is this different from the My Story app?
Yes. With Hero Books, we make the book about your child. In the My Story app, your child makes their own books, writing, drawing and narrating every page.
